Terms of Service

Draft — last updated August 2026
This is a placeholder page for our early access test deploy. Final terms will be reviewed by counsel before public launch — this draft is here to show the intended structure and content.

1. What Dockitt is

Dockitt is a marketplace connecting independent, licensed CPAs with businesses and individuals seeking project-based accounting services. Dockitt facilitates the introduction, communication, payment, and document exchange between CPAs and clients, but is not itself an accounting firm and does not provide accounting services directly.

2. Eligibility

CPAs joining Dockitt must hold an active, valid license in good standing and provide accurate information during application. Clients must be authorized to engage accounting services on behalf of themselves or their business.

3. Fees

Dockitt does not charge clients a finder's fee, and does not take a percentage of any CPA's service fee. CPAs pay a flat monthly subscription fee to remain active on the platform. Pricing is subject to change with notice.

4. Staying on-platform

To keep both CPAs and clients protected — through secure payments, organized documentation, and platform support — engagements introduced through Dockitt are expected to be conducted through Dockitt for their duration. Circumventing the platform to complete an engagement introduced by Dockitt outside of it is a violation of these terms.

5. Insurance

All CPAs on Dockitt are required to carry professional liability (errors & omissions) insurance, either independently verified or obtained through a Dockitt insurance partner.

6. Limitation of liability

Dockitt is not a party to the accounting engagement between a CPA and a client, and is not responsible for the quality, accuracy, or outcome of accounting services rendered.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform develops. Material changes will be communicated to active users.
